TTT Series Episode Drew

In April 2019, the Contemporary Arts Center (CAC) hosted This Time Tomorrow, Cincinnati’s first performance art festival. Annie Brwon sat down with CAC’s Drew Klein for a fluxus inspired interview to explain the festival.

DREW KLEIN is Performing Arts Director at the Contemporary Arts Center (CAC) in Cincinnati, Ohio, where he curates and oversees all performance programming, including the interdisciplinary festival This Time Tomorrow
which debuted in April 2019.
Crafting a prominent platform for international exchange in the Midwest, he has provided US premieres for artists like Ingri Fiksdal, Kate McIntosh, Radouan Mriziga, and Mithkal Alzghair. Exclusive and co-commissioned
performance works include Kaneza Schaal’s JACK &, jumatatu poe & Donte Beacham’s Let ‘im Move You: This is a Formation, Brian Harnetty’s Shawnee, Ohio, Eddy Kwon’s VIOLENCE, Jens Lekman’s Ghostwriting, and Raquel André’s Collection of Artists.
He has served as a visiting curator and lecturer at institutions such as Fusebox Festival (Austin), Portland Institute for Contemporary Art (Portland, Oregon), DiverseWorks (Houston), University of Cincinnati, and Art Academy of Cincinnati, among others. Prior to joining the CAC, Drew worked in the New York independent film world with Cinetic Media and Sloss Eckhouse LawCo LLP.

“what are we talking about?” is an absurdist talk show inspired by the decoupe literary technique. The host asks randomly chosen questions. The guests respond with randomly chosen prompts. Can you guess their prompts?
